Hello It’s Me

some forgotten dreams
in an old diary
humming a known tune
calling my name
irks me
tempts me
they have this rosy glow
why now why today
i ask and they smile
~♥~
some forgotten dreams
in an old diary and
a dried rose,token of love
it may have lost its sheen
but still evokes desire
long forgotten
why now why today
i ask and they keep quiet
~♥~
some forgotten dreams
a rose and a small letter
hand written
an invitation
in case someday
i feel my life is worth
one more chance
forgive my self
and those around
why now why today
i ask and it sparkles with hope
~♥♥~
some forgotten dreams
a rose,a letter and one phone number
i tremble
as if looking at it
will breathe life in it
no, the past has long gone
but my present chides
why not now why  not today
and i make a call
a simple hello
and the diary starts singing
a long forgotten song

About Soma Mukherjee

I often say things that put me in a jam, Jams go well with Buttered Toasts, Toasts are great hosts, Ghosts not so much, Although they can dance, Not all dancers are serial killers, Serial killers do not use Body bags that often, body bags aren't leak proof, Proof is in the Pudding.

  6. You have written an awesome poem, it dances from beginning to end while enticing the heart, and makes aware promises pushed aside. Simple love, always smolders in one’s heart, but a pure love touches, massages it, nourishes it and treasures it as a pearl of great worth, never leaving its side!

  20. So pleasantly the present connects to the past
there is always a fine thread though years have passed
is it a blessing or is it a curse that is cast,
that some memories remain till we breathe our last?

I wonder what the song was about…was it all you hoped for…some forgotten love, still waiting, yearning for you…some music waiting for the final score…

  32. a forgotten vision arises in the distance
    a light, a whisper
    a warmth in the heart
I looked and breathed life into it
it is too late to send it back
    a past long gone
    a forgotten song about tomorrow
    and my present resonates
why not now why not today
    a child’s game unfolds, a dance
a life that sings the untold joy
    hello it’s me!

Hope you will not mind Soma … I really could not resist it! Smiling love.

  33. Beautiful, Soma! Just Beautiful!
I have some treasured keepsakes to help me remember, but most of them are in my head and my heart. The stroke changed some of them, gave me others. However, most of them remain with me and I, sometimes, allow them out to play.
